The journey

This was our first trip with the truck and a majority of the gear that will be used on our first big trip.  It was a great shake down trip to dial in for the first of the big 3. The equipment and truck performed flawlessly with tent barely flapping in 30 mph winds as a front came through. We did however realize that we overlooked a few minor tools needed for the kitchen.  

The first of our big trips, traveling from St. Augustine Beach, FL  to Zuma Beach, CA and then down to the Sea or Cortez in Mexico over 43 days. We'll use more KOA's and campgrounds with it being the first long trip, but adventuring out to some exciting places and remote sites in between.  More information will be listed in our trip blogs soon.

The details haven't been locked in for this trip yet. The general plan is to travel over 30-40 days from Key Largo, FL to upstate New York. We'll cross into Canada where we'll take a more remote path towards the top of Maine and then back down through the east coast back to our home in Tampa, FL.

All of our previous trips build up to this mother of all adventures. We'll plan for this trip to take 2 or more months where we'll enjoy the adventure across the longest section of the US, driving from Miami, FL to Prudhoe Bay, AK.
